Innovative Power Product’s (IPP) high power RF/Microwave Resistor line offers a compact, rugged, high power, high frequency solution to the most demanding applications. IPP’s RF Resistors are constructed using Aluminium Nitride (AlN) ceramic for low thermal resistance and capacitance. Power levels range from 30 Watt to 650 Watts. These products are available in both bolt-down and solder-down packages with silver contact tabs.
Flanged resistors are designed for screw-down mounting directly to heat sinks for improved heat dissipation. The resistors are available in single, double and four hole flange mounting styles. IPP’s flanged resistors are constructed using Aluminium Nitride (AlN) ceramic for low thermal resistance while keeping parasitic capacitance at a minimum.
IPP Flanged RF Resistors are available in Power Levels up to 650 Watts CW and are RoHS compliant.
IPP Flangeless resistors are designed to be soldered directly to the heat sink for the best possible heat transfer. Aluminium Nitride (AlN) ceramic is used to create a very low thermal resistance and capacitance. Flangeless resistors are available at power levels up to 300W. Other resistance values are available upon request.
Low Capacitance Resistors
IPP offers Low Capacitance RF Resistors in Power Levels up to 200 Watts average. These components are used to lower the parasitic capacitance making them ideal for use in RF Power Dividers / Combiners or transistor feedback resistors. IPP’s resistors are constructed using Aluminium Nitride (AlN) ceramic, providing low thermal resistance while keeping parasitic capacitance at a minimum.
Our low capacitance resistors are available in flangeless and flanged packages. The flangeless packages are designed to be soldered directly to the heat sink for the best possible heat transfer. IPP’s line of Feedback Resistors are designed to support wideband RF/Microwave solid-state transistor power amplifiers, which require resistive feedback. Using negative resistive feedback is a simple way to improve transistor amplifier stability and frequency gain sloping.
These feedback resistors are flange mounted and designed to fit directly over the RF/microwave transistor using the same mounting holes as the transistor. This mounting configuration utilizes normally unused space above the transistor without taking up valuable PCB area adjacent to the transistor. In addition to saving space, this mounting arrangement decreases parasitic inductance associated with resistor leads by providing the shortest lead length possible between the transistor input and output. The short lead length and corresponding lower inductance allow for higher frequency operation.
Our feedback resistors are constructed using nickel-plated aluminium flanges with BeO ceramic resistors, providing excellent thermal conductivity and low parasitic capacitance. These products are available in a range of resistor values and power levels to match various applications. Flange styles are designed with mounting holes to match up with many popular transistor footprints. Feedback resistors are available with or without DC blocking capacitors, and values can be customized as required.
